Having just returned from a fabulous trip to Kerala, I have no hesitation in recommending The Indian Journeys and Mr Newmon. As part of our trip, The Indian Journeys organised a weeklong tour to experience the tea plantations and spectacular scenery of the Western Ghats, the spice plantations of the Cardamom Hills, elephant riding and bathing (great fun) in Thekkady, and luxury cruising in a houseboat on The Backwaters. From the first contact following our enquiry, right through to end of our trip, the service provided by Mr Newmon was exceptional. A brief call from Mr Newmon each evening to check all was going well was one example of the attentive service The Indian Journeys provide. When our itinerary was disrupted by a local strike, Mr Newmon calmly and quickly contacted drivers and guides to readjust our itinerary to ensure we didn't miss out. My wife and I have traveled 3 weeks in Tamil Nadu and Kerala during the last Christmas holidays entrusting ourselves to travel agent THE INDIAN JOURNEYS. During the trip we changed 13 hotels and all of them have proved equal to the budget that we had pre-set. Furthermore the ones outside the cities lay in beautiful locations The car service was excellent too- The friendly and prepared driver juggles very well in city traffic and in the wide open spaces. This enabled us to discover the scents of India, savour its food, understand the habits and meet a lot of people. Every day Newmon asked either us or the driver how the trip was going and this made us feel as if we were at home. Another wonderful holiday in India, superbly organized by Newmon. Great hotels in Mumbai, Aurangabad and Goa. We had a tour of Mumbai after which we flew to Aurangabad to visit the Ajanta Buddhist caves, followed by two weeks at 2 different hotels in Goa. This is the second time Newmon has organized our holiday and we now look on him as a friend as well as someone we can completely rely on. Highly recommended.

We used "The Indian Journeys" Tour Company in January 2017 for tours whilst on a cruise. If you're like my husband and I you will hate the cruise tours, waiting for people to get back to the coach and everything taking so long! This tour company was very good, comfortable cars with our own driver and tour guide. We used the company three times and found both the driver and tour guide very nice on all three tours. The drivers were very attentive to my disability and the tour guides were very knowledgeable. It's certainly a lot nicer way to get to know the place you are visiting and of course you learn a lot more than you would on a coach full of people as this is one to one. Obviously it costs more, but in my opinion well worth it.

We were recommended the services of Newmon and his company 'The Indian journeys' by friends who had travelled with him twice before. We have been on a number of tours, usually using the major travel agents such as Trailfinders etc. The care by the owner of the company before and during our holiday was outstanding, taking us out for a meal on our first night and ringing us nearly every day to make sure all was well was outstanding service. The combination of hotels and home stays was well balanced and without exception, good value, with wonderful food at all. Changes to our planned itinerary caused by a fire at one of the wildlife reserves was dealt with quickly and efficiently without any fuss. The driver we had for 3 weeks (Christo) made the holiday the experience it was . Driving us safely around the sights of Kerala, helping us to get cash from the ATM machines and obtaining beer from the state run outlets without spending hours in the queues........ At all times we felt secure in the knowledge that our tour had been organised by a professional and local company. Last December I travel with my girlfriend around India, Rajasthan and Kerala. If you are planning to travel to India, be prepare for an amazing country but also my advise is to prepare your travel really well. To define where to go is a challenge; this was our first step with the India Journeys, they gave us really good recommendation about the different places to visit according to our expectations and budget. We decided to book with them a package for Kerala, and travel in Rajasthan by our own, and I won’t recommend to travel in India without a travel agency, especially if you are planning to visit different cities, and it is your first time in India. It is better to have a small travel agency, like the Indian Journeys, which personalize the travel as you want and take care of everything. In Kerala, The India Journeys organized for us a perfect romantic travel, with a professional driver, and really good hotels. New Mon, our travel agent, took care of everything including some train tickets for Rajasthan that I couldn’t book online, he also organized for us a romantic dinner in a fantastic place, the best romantic dinner that I have ever had.

"My family, some friends and I we did a 9 days trip in Kerala in Christmas 2013 with The Indian Journeys. Thanks to The Indian Journeys organization (which I have to say that it was very easy to work on it and helpful staff) we could visit the most iconic parts of Kerala on this time, travelling with a wonderful Van for 10 people and with a very friendly driver. The hotels were we stayed were good, new hotels and well managed, especially the Hindustan Beach Retreat in Varkala. The food in the restaurants that Newmon or the driver suggest us to go were delicious, and the activities programmed also very nice! And the Christmas and New Year's Eve gala's were very funny, something really unexpected! The only negative thing is that we just had 10 days....I wish I could extend our trip for a couple of weeks more!"
