Bandipure is mesmerizing national park in Karnataka, India the reserve is playground of Indian wild animals like Indain tigre, Eliephant so on.  Bandipure is one of the famous  Indian wild life tour destination . Together with the adjoining Nagarhole National Park (643 km2 (248 sq mi)), Mudumalai National Park (320 km2 (120 sq mi)) and Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary (344 km2 (133 sq mi)), it is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve totaling 2,183 km2 (843 sq mi) making it the largest protected area in southern India and largest habitat of wild elephants in south Asia .  Bandipur forms a part of India’s largest biosphere reserve, the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. Bandipur national park is important in the scheme of India’s effort towards nature conservation.  It’s a Home to around 70 tigers and over 3000 Asian Elephants as well as other animals like Dhole, Gaur, Sloth bears etc. Gopal Swami Betta is the highest peak in Bandipur range. The best time to visit Bandipur is from March to October. However the park is open throughout the year. The forest receives medium to heavy rainfall in the monsoon months depending on the location.

Bandipur National Park is easily accessible by road, rail and air from Mysore which is the near-est city.

Road: Bandipur is located at a distance of 80 kms from Mysore and 220 kms from Bangalore and 70 kms from Ooty. Bandipur is well connected by road and you could get here either by the State Transport buses, private buses, all stop at the Forest Reception office. It takes 2 hours from Mysore by a taxi.

Rail: The Mysore railway station located at a distance of 80 kms is the major railway station closest to Bandipur. The Nanjungud railway station which is 55 kms from Bandipur is the nearest railway station.

Air: The closest airport- Mysore – 70 kms from Bandipur. Bangalore-International airport is 260kms to Bandipur.
